Rosegbach-Pontresina station back in operation
The FOEN Rosegbach-Pontresina monitoring station (2256) is back in operation. The station was completely rebuilt and has been providing correct discharge, water level and water temperature data again since 28 May 2024:
During the flood of 28 August 2023, the measuring bridge at the station was severely damaged. As the bed of the stream had changed considerably due to bed load transport during the flood, the previous water level-discharge relationship was no longer correct - and consequently the published discharge values were no longer correct either. Due to the damaged measuring bridge, no control measurements could be carried out and the water level-discharge relationship could not be updated.
