The map shows the stations for which continuous turbidity data is published.

At these stations, the FOEN measures twice a week the concentration of sediment transported by rivers. The samples are correlated with the continuously measured turbidity data and extrapolated with discharge data to monthly and annual loads. Together with hydrological and ecological observations, this data can be used to optimise the management and protection of water bodies.
